Wow. Shocking.
As it turns out, Linkedin has sneakily changed it’s members account settings, so that their name and face can be used in advertsing messages on the Linkedin platform.
Ehrm… What?!

As a marketer, I thought the era of putting asterixes behind special offers to your customers was sort of over.
I thought web 2.0, consumer power and customer advocacy kinda put an end to that.
But it seems that Linkedin, a web 2.0 company worth $9 Billion is still in the business of making misleading offers to their own customers.
Nearly everyone I meet professionally has a Linkedin profile. Most of those people have a pretty complete profile including a picture, recent experience, etc.
But only very few seem to bother with putting the right keywords in their profiles. This means that your profile will not show up in search results within Linkedin.
You have probably noticed that you can integrate your Twitter account into your Linkedin profile. This means you can post your tweets in your LinkedIn profile.
If you choose to integrate your Twitter and Linkedin accounts, you have two choices:
1. Share all your tweets in your Linkedin status
2. Add the ‘#in’ hashtag to share only specific tweets
